Studio NYL was also honored with the James S. Sudler Award. The James S. Sudler Award for Contribution to AIA Denver recognizes an outstanding contribution to the chapter and achievements of people who have, by their professionalism, dedication, leadership, ability and commitment improved the quality of services offered by AIA Denver. Studio NYL is active in the AIA participating in AIA Committee on the Environment, speaking at multiple AIA North 10x10’s, sponsoring AIA Colorado, AIA North and AIA Denver Awards Galas and most recently speaking at the AIA Colorado Design Conference.

Christopher O'Hara, a founding principal of Studio NYL, was also included in the list of the top 20 under 40 by Colorado Construction News magazine in March of 2009.
